Melbourne Spring Fashion Week looked to its charitable side this year with an array of events showcasing their wares for a worthy cause
The Naked Truth MSFW was one such event. The brainchild of the NAKED ARROW Fashion Agency, the event gave people a behind the scenes look at what goes on at a fashion photo shoot.
"We didn't want to do the standard parade as it has been done over and over," said Yeo.
"We invited our audience to experience an intimate backstage visual spectacle whilst promoting and celebrating a new generation of talented Melbourne fashion designers, models, photographers and stylists."
With all proceeds going to the AIDS Trust of Australia, the sold out event raised over $2000 and is definately on the cards for next year.
"Out audience loved the concept, the atmosphere and the after noon in general! Most people were intrigued to see how many elements and creative people were involved in one photograph," says Yeo.
Fashion photographer Emily Abay, says people expect more from fashion shows these days and that the industry should lead the way in giving back to the community.
"I think it is really important for shows in Australia to be more than just a trade show; shows should be giving something back when people are paying for tickets."
